”My Daughter is a Zombie” becomes the No.1 hit of 2025 with over 4.3 million viewers

The movie “My Daughter is a Zombie” has emerged as the biggest hit among films released in 2025.

According to the Integrated Movie Ticket Network, the film has attracted a cumulative audience of 4.31 million as of the 16th, surpassing Brad Pitt's “F1” (4.1 million) and maintaining its position at the top of the box office.

Starring Cho Jung-suk, Cho Yo-jung, Lee Jung-eun, and Yoon Kyung-ho, 'My Daughter is a Zombie' is a comedic drama about a “doting dad” who undergoes secret training to protect his daughter, the last remaining zombie in the world. The film was directed by Pil Gam-son, known for 'Hostage'.

Mission: Impossible/Final Reckoning (3.39 million viewers), starring Tom Cruise, followed in second place, while the Korean film 'Yadan' (3.37 million viewers) ranked fourth.

Mickey 17, the return film of director Bong Joon-ho, attracted 3.01 million viewers and ranked fifth in this year's Korean film box office rankings.

'My Daughter is a Zombie' and 'F1' formed the “two giants” of the film industry this summer. On the 16th, they added approximately 210,000 and 130,000 viewers, respectively, continuing their success.

Additionally, “The Devil Has Moved In,” released on the 13th of this month, attracted 57,834 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience count to 224,135.
