The Small and Medium Business Development Institute, a place for businesses that have failed to recover (Korea)
The Saisei Small and Medium Business Development Institute announced that it has opened its training facility in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, as a rest area for managers of small and medium-sized businesses.
The institute holds a "Re-Challenge Healing Camp" once every first half of the year to help business owners who have experienced failure get back on their feet. This time, the institute will be open to those who have not yet done so.
The decision was made to open the facility on a reservation basis, with stays limited to one week, and a daily fee of 10,000 won (approximately 11 US dollars) per person, including accommodation and meals.
Anyone can use the facility to train their mind and body in nature, rest, and explore new paths. Participants can also seek mental healing through self-reflection and meditation, and health management through physical and mental training.
The institute was established by MS Gas Group Chairman Jung Won-tae, who used his own funds to renovate a closed school. In September 2011, the current Small and Medium Enterprise Department was renamed the
Chairman Chung said, "The number of small businesses that go out of business exceeds one million per year. Our institute provides education to small and medium-sized business owners and small businesses to help them try again.
We will provide them with the confidence and courage to make a comeback."
