俳優イ・ジャンウ、7年ぶりのスキューバダイビングに感動…「20代の頃に貰ったエネルギーが必要だった」
Actor Lee Jang Woo is moved by scuba diving for the first time in seven years... ”I needed the energy I had in my 20s”
Korean actor Lee Jang-woo returned to scuba diving for the first time in seven years.

On the 22nd, MBC's variety show 'Single Man's Happy Life' (original title: “I Live Alone”) aired footage of Lee Jang-woo happily scuba diving.

On that day, Lee Jang-woo told people who thought he would leave the show due to his marriage that he would continue to appear on the show until his wedding. In response, Kian 84 remarked, “I thought everyone who cried wouldn't come back,” while Key (SHINee) added, “Actually, if you cry, you'll come back even faster,” drawing laughter. Following this, footage of Lee Jang-woo was shown. Lee Jang-woo explained, "I started skin diving in 2013 and was completely hooked for five years, doing nothing but skin diving. I loved the sea since I was a child," revealing that he even obtained an instructor's license.

Lee Jang-woo explained, “For five years, I did it at least once a day. I naturally ended up challenging myself to obtain an instructor's license, but as my work increased, I gradually forgot the romance I felt sitting by the sea. That's why I drifted away from scuba diving,” detailing the reason he distanced himself from the sport.

Lee Jang-woo visited the sea in Goseong, Gangwon Province, and met actress Ha Jae-seok at the Ayajin Beach skin scuba diving spot.

Lee Jang-woo said, "We got our open water licenses together. We first entered the sea in Jeju Island and then spent every day together. We didn't even book a place to stay; we just slept in the car for a bit and then jumped right into the sea. We loved just floating around. People around us said we were crazy for loving the sea so much." He described Ayajin Beach as their hideout.

When Ha Jae-seok said, “It's been 13 years since you and I were here, right? We ate jajangmyeon that day and stayed here,” Lee Jang-woo replied, “The two of them got married because of me. Joon-hen ran a scuba shop, and Jae-seok and I wandered around and ended up here. Jae-seok wanted to go somewhere else, but I wanted to eat jajangmyeon, so I asked for it, and while we were sitting together talking, we became close.”

Lee Jang-woo then introduced Ha Jae-suk's husband, saying, “I heard that Joon-hen is from the Information Command and has incredible skills. There's no sport he can't do; he's amazing at everything. When he walks, it's like he's gliding on a cloud, and he knows every inch of the ocean.”

When Lee Jang-woo went out to sea, he showed signs of tension as he approached the diving spot. He said, “When I'm in the sea, it's so quiet and natural that I feel a sense of humility. Do you know the sound of the sea? The sound of fish breaking something or colliding, such sounds are clearly heard near your ears, it feels like being in space. It feels like a place humans can't explore.” He explained the emotions he feels through skin scuba diving.

After removing his skin scuba gear, Ha Jae-seok's husband began collecting seafood. Lee Jang-woo explained, “Joon-hen has a marine worker's license. It's called a fishing permit, which allows him to collect seafood.”

Lee Jang-woo, who had just come out of the sea, smiled happily and said, “This is great!” Lee Jang-woo shouted, “The fish are this big. The abalone are this big!” and made everyone laugh. Lee Jang-woo said, "When I was in my twenties, I felt like I needed the positive energy I felt every time I came to the sea. I spent five hours floating around on the beach. It felt like it was soothing my sulky friends. It's been so long since I came here that dopamine was released," he said, then entered the sea to fully enjoy the moment.
