President Lee sends congratulatory telegram to Ukraine on Independence Day
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung sent a congratulatory telegram to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the 24th (local time) to mark Ukraine's Independence Day.
President Zelensky posted the congratulatory message sent by President Lee on his Twitter account. President Lee said, "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ukraine on its Independence Day.
"Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, the two countries have continued to develop friendly and cooperative relations," he said. "I sincerely hope that peace and reconstruction in Ukraine will be restored as soon as possible."
"I hope for a future of peace and prosperity for Ukraine, good health for the President, and stability and happiness for the Ukrainian people," he said.
President Zelensky expressed his gratitude for President Lee's congratulatory message.
"Ukraine is extremely grateful for Korea's unwavering support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the economic and humanitarian assistance it has provided to Ukraine in these difficult times," the president said.
"Through our joint efforts, we hope to achieve greater results in strengthening the relationship between our two countries for the benefit of our peoples," he said.
