China's data industry to reach 5.8 trillion yen, with average annual growth rate of over 15% - Chinese report

At the 2025 China International Big Data Industry Expo, currently being held in Guizhou Province, China, it was revealed that China's emerging data industry is maintaining an average annual growth rate of over 15%.
The head of the State Data Administration said, "The development of the data industry is strong." At present, the scale of China's data industry has exceeded 5.8 trillion yen (about 119 trillion yen).
The data industry is expected to maintain an average annual growth rate of over 15% between 2025 and 2030. An official from the National Data Development Institute said, "The number of people working in the data industry is estimated to exceed 5 million.
Data annotators, data brokers, data scientists, data analysts, and algorithm engineers are new occupations that have emerged along with the data industry."
