The 31st marks the 10th anniversary of his death. He passed away from old age on August 31st, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was 84 years old.

The late Nam Seong-nam was renowned as a leading figure in the comedy world. After making his debut in the 1957 film 'Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River', he went on to star in such shows as 'Laughter Brings Good Fortune', 'Sunday Night Parade', 'March of Youth', and 'Long Live Youth', before embarking on a full-fledged comedy career.

Notably, Nam Seong-nam was active as a comedy duo with the late Nam Chul. The two gained popularity in the 1960s with their 'Going Back and Forth' dance routine.

However, in 2013, Nam Chul died of kidney failure caused by complications from his chronic conditions of diabetes and high blood pressure. The late Nam Seong-nam was heartbroken, saying, "I was older than him, but he passed away before me."

In 2000, Nam Seong-nam was recognized for various achievements, including receiving the Minister of Culture and Tourism Award at the 7th Korea Performing Arts Awards. Ten years have passed since his death, but he still lingers in people's hearts.
