”BTS's JIMIN and actress Song Da-Eun have already broken up... Was the video on social media a ”memory” post?

Jimin (BTS) and actress Song Da-Eun, whose relationship has left fans in stitches with a string of dating rumors, have now been confirmed to have broken up.

On August 31st, Jimin's agency BIGHIT Music stated in response to the dating rumors, "They had a romantic relationship in the past, but that was several years ago and they are no longer dating."

They continued, "We have not made our position clear until now out of respect for the other party," adding, "There have been many speculative reports about our artist's private life, and as untrue rumors are rampant, we are forced to make a minimal statement regarding the facts."

They continued, "We ask that you refrain from making thoughtless speculations about our artist's private life," and "We also ask that you refrain from any actions that may cause harm to the other person (Song Da-Eun) who is being mentioned together with our artist."

Earlier on the same day, media reports came out stating that Jimin had a short relationship with Song Da-Eun around the time of his military enlistment in 2023, but that they were unable to sustain the relationship and broke up. It has also been revealed that the photos and videos of Jimin that Song Da-Eun recently posted on her social media were taken during their previous relationship.

The dating rumors between the two, which had long been a source of doubt for fans, were revealed to be true in a statement released by her agency on the same day, but Song Da-Eun's actions in dealing with the rumors up to that point remain a mystery.

Song Da-Eun previously hinted at the dating rumors by repeatedly posting videos and photos of herself with Jimin on her social media.

In 2022, they hinted at their relationship by uploading photos of couple's items engraved with "DAEUN" and "jimin," and have since piqued interest by sharing photos of a man believed to be JIMIN on the web variety show "RUN BTS" with a blurred image, and by posting photos of themselves wearing BTS merchandise. Each time, JIMIN's side has not issued an official statement.

More recently, he caused a stir by posting a video on his TikTok account of him waiting for JIMIN in the elevator of his apartment building, and JIMIN's surprised expression as soon as the door opened. At the time, JIMIN said to Song Da Eun, "Wow, what a surprise. Did you know I was coming in? I didn't bother to tell you," appearing affectionate, and it seemed as if their romance had been made official.

However, during a live broadcast in 2022, Song Da-eun repeatedly stated that she does not have a boyfriend, and in June of this year, she targeted Jimin's fans, saying, "Just because the idol you like loves me doesn't mean I have any right to be spoken ill of," and "I didn't ask him out, so he might get really mad and expose something."

Meanwhile, Song Da-eun became known as a cast member on Channel A's romance variety show "Heart Signal 2," and has built up a solid filmography through her work in a variety of fields, including dramas such as "Eun-ju's Room," "I Went There Once," and "Going Out ~ Mothers," as well as commercials, radio, and variety shows.
