South Korean model and actor Lee Soo-hyuk's agency has issued a statement amid controversy over claims that he was overworked by a demanding schedule at a Chinese fan meeting.

On the 3rd, his agency, SARAM Entertainment, stated on their official social media accounts, "We deeply regret the unexpected situation that occurred during the event." They added, "We will do our best to use this incident as an opportunity to move forward in a positive direction."

Lee Soo-hyuk held his solo fan meeting, "Eternal Magic Hour," in Hangzhou, China on the 30th of last month. The event was so popular that all seats sold out within two minutes of registration opening.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese broadcaster EBC reported on the 1st that Lee Soo-hyuk was exploited at the Chinese fan meeting. EBC stated, "Due to the organizers' excessive sales, he was forced to sign autographs for 12 hours, which caused him to become dehydrated," and "Lee Soo-hyuk was even seen staggering as he left the event venue."

In response, the agency stated, "We will work more closely with all parties involved and do our best to prepare better meetings in the future." They added, "We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the cooperating companies, staff, and organizers who worked hard to prepare for the fan meeting."
