Yangtze River Delta Railway's ”Summer Luck” passenger numbers hit record high: 184 million passengers - Chinese media

According to China Railway Shanghai Administration Group Co., Ltd., during this year's "Summer Transport" (special summer transport system) period (July 1st to August 31st), the number of passengers transported on the Yangtze River Delta railway (hereinafter referred to as the Yangtze River Delta Railway)
The number of passengers exceeded 184 million, a 3.4% increase from the same period last year, reaching a record high. During the same period, 880,000 freight trains were operated, and freight transport volume increased by 9.4% to 36.92 million tons.
During the "summer holiday" period, the number of direct trains from the Yangtze River Delta to Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and other destinations increased, with the total number of direct passengers reaching more than 40.81 million.
The total number of passengers transported within the River Delta region was 143 million. Since the beginning of August, the number of passengers per day has remained at over 2.7 million, and on August 16th, the number of passengers per day reached a record high.
Meanwhile, the number of passengers transported by high-speed rail stations in Shanghai during the same period was 28.25 million, an average of 456,000 per day, up 6% from the same period last year.
The number of passengers at Shanghai South Station and Shanghai Songjiang Station increased by 3.464 million and 2.196 million respectively, both of which were record highs.
