Kakin helps Sun Xiang's son, which leads to Sun Xiang proposing to her. Kakin decides to marry Sun Xiang despite her family's objections. She marries him as his legal wife and has a wonderful marriage.
Gu Yanxi (Gu Yanxi) introduces Hua Zhi to the Empress Dowager. The Empress Dowager talks about her memories with her old friend, Hua Zhi's grandmother, Lin Wan (Lin Yan), and gives Hua Zhi a jade bracelet.
The Empress Dowager explains the strictness of the palace, but Hua Zhi replies that she believes in Gu Yanxi. Shen Huan confesses that he is attracted to Shakuyaku, but is faced with her immaturity.
