A woman in her 20s who had been reported missing was found with the body, and a suspect in his 50s who was arrested near the location where the body was abandoned admitted to murder during police investigations.
On the 15th, the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had applied for an arrest warrant for suspect A on suspicion of murder and abandoning the body.
On the afternoon of the 11th of this month, suspect A assaulted and strangled a TikToker woman in her 20s, Ms. B, to death in Incheon.
After that, suspect A loaded the body into a car and drove along the coast of the Seohae (West Sea, Yellow Sea), and arrived at the mountains of Muju County, Jeollabuk-do, where he dumped the body in the woods.
The investigation concluded that she had been abandoned. Prior to this, Ms. B's parents had filed a missing person report with Yongin Police Station around 4 pm on the 12th, saying that they were unable to contact their daughter.
Police tracked B's movements and confirmed that B had traveled from Incheon to Muju in suspect A's car.
In addition, with the cooperation of the Jeonbuk National Police Agency, suspect A was discovered at around 5 a.m. on the 13th, 50 to 100 meters away from where the body was dumped.
At the time, suspect A made a statement to the effect that "I broke up with Ms. B after an argument," but the police suspected that Ms. B's disappearance was a false accusation, based on the fact that suspect A refused to show his ID and tried to escape.

The police are currently investigating the specific circumstances of the incident, including requesting the National Forensic Service to perform an autopsy on Mr. B's body.
