ITZY surprises fans with contract renewal announcement: ”Seven years is a short time, and there are many things we couldn't do”

All members of ITZY will continue to be with JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP).

ITZY held their fourth official fan meeting, "ITZY The 4th Fan Meeting ITZY MIDZY, LET'S FLY! "ON AIR"," at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul at 5 p.m. on the 20th.

Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna announced their early contract renewals with JYP at the fan meeting, attracting attention. ITZY said, "In order to repay the overwhelming love and gratitude we've received, all of our members have decided to renew their contracts. We owe this decision to MIDZY (fan name). As soon as we felt the desire to walk this path together, we wanted to share this news first. We hope that ITZY and MIDZY will continue to create many more wonderful memories and happy events together. Seven years has been too short. There are so many things we haven't been able to do together. We have decided to stay by each other's side, as we have done up until now. Please continue to support ITZY."

ITZY appeared to the tune of 'IT'z SUMMER' and opened the official fan meeting with 'ICY' and 'DALLA DALLA'. As the fan meeting was meant to convey the message, "The moment the 'ON AIR' light comes on, MIDZY will show you everything they want," they incorporated the broadcasting station's concept to add a fresh touch.

The members, who displayed their abundant talents, completely changed the atmosphere with 'SNEAKERS' and 'Kiss & Tell', and then satisfied the audience with a set list that highlighted the charms of each of the five members, including solo stages and group covers. Lia performed tuki.'s 'Bansanka', Yeji performed Nayeon's 'ABCD', Yuna performed IU's 'Twenty-three'," Chaeryeong performed Gain's "Bloom," and Ryujin performed JUNG KOOK's 'Standing Next to You'. Finally, the five members covered Wonder Girls' 'So Hot', instantly livening up the atmosphere in the venue.

At the end of the fan meeting, the members expressed their affection, saying, "As time goes by, I feel like I'm feeling MIDZY's presence and love more deeply. Thank you for always cherishing ITZY. Just like with concerts, when we prepare for fan meetings, we enjoy preparing with the expectation that our fans will be pleased. This time was no exception, and we had a lot of fun preparing, so we're grateful that you enjoyed it. Hinting at further growth, ITZY will release their new album 'Collector' in Japan on October 8th and hold their official fan meeting, 'ITZY The 4th Fan Meeting ITZY MIDZY, LET'S FLY! 'ON AIR'', in Tokyo from the 11th to the 13th.
