The passengers, ranging from students to elderly people, were all shocked by the driver's sudden verbal abuse.
One passenger told MBC, "I was so surprised that my hands were shaking when he said, 'XXXX. If it's delayed, hurry up and get on. Do you want to be delayed even longer?'"

The bus departed for Gunsan about 50 minutes later than scheduled without a driver change. Some passengers reportedly received refunds and did not board the bus.
The driver admitted to using abusive language, but explained that he was late due to traffic congestion. He also said, "One of the passengers was picking on me and said, 'Drive faster.'
"I got angry and ended up arguing with the passenger," he said. Meanwhile, the bus company announced that it would conduct an independent investigation and consider taking disciplinary action, such as a pay cut, if any problems were confirmed.
