The late ”comedy legend” Jung YOO SUN's final stage and words of farewell from his juniors

The late Jung YOO SUN, the "godfather of comedy," passed away on the 28th. The funeral was held at 6 a.m. that day at the funeral hall of Seoul Asan Hospital in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
At the funeral, the family and many junior comedians wept as they sent him off on his final journey. In his eulogy, Lee Hong-ryul said, "He was an innovator on stage and a master behind the scenes," and "He was a man who brought laughter to everyone."
Kim Shin-young continued, "I saw him talking, taking pictures, and playing games at the hospital just a few days ago.
"Now it's time for me to say my final goodbyes," he said. Kim Shin-young, a disciple of the late singer, said she spent time with him in his hospital room for four days before he closed his eyes.

The funeral service was hosted by Lee Soo-geun, and comedian and pastor Pyo In-bo
Ng offered a prayer, while his junior colleague Kim Jeong-ryeol performed "Seungri Dandan," which was the deceased's favorite song.

He appeared on the stage of the public broadcasting program "Gag Concert," which he had given a lot of love to during his lifetime. The deceased broke away from typical comedy and created various public performances combined with performances, which made him a great influence on his juniors.
He was a founding member and planner of KBS's flagship comedy show, Gag Concert, and opened a comedy theater and won the Busan International Comedy Festival.
He also contributed to the organization of festivals. In an era when comedians were called comedians, he coined the term "gagman" and played a role in solidifying comedy as a cultural and artistic genre.
