A Hyundai Department Store official said, "We will open the Tokyo Toy Museum in Connect Busan in September 2024.
The pop-up store at the museum was so popular that more than 8,000 people visited over 12 days. At the Senho store, we completely renovated the floor and turned it into a toy play area."
The Tokyo Toy Museum Seoul pop-up in the Senho branch will be approximately 396 square meters in size. It will incorporate the philosophy of wood education and will feature approximately 110 types of toys proposed by Japanese experts.
In addition to being equipped with wooden toys, the interior is designed to bring people closer to nature through the use of wood. A total of eight specialized spaces are prepared, each based on the type of tree that grows on and around the Hangang River.
The facility will offer a variety of content, including a dedicated space for children up to two years old, as well as opportunities to make things, touch things, and play pretend games. Reservations are required in advance, and reservations for the following month are accepted on the first day of each month.
The admission fee is 13,000 won (about 1,400 yen) on weekdays, 15,000 won (about 1,600 yen) on weekends, and 4,000 won (about 425 yen) for adults.
