Actress Kim Hee-sun's mother has passed away.

　On the 2nd (today), according to entertainment industry sources, Kim Hee-sun's mother, Mrs Park Bok-soon, passed away this day.

　Kim Hee-sun is currently at the funeral home with her family, mourning her loss.

　The deceased's body is being held at Room 30 of the funeral hall at Asan Hospital in Seoul. The funeral procession will depart at 4:40 am on the 4th of this month.

　Meanwhile, Kim Hee-sun, who debuted in commercials in 1993, has appeared in dramas such as 'Proposal', 'Wedding Dress', ‘Mr. Q’, ‘Sunflower’, ‘Tomato’, ‘My Fair Lady’, and films such as ‘Ghost of Love’, ‘Outlive’, and ‘Wani & Juna: Shaken Feelings’.

　She married in 2007, gave birth to a daughter, and focused on childcare.

　She resumed her activities with the drama ‘Sinyi - Faith’, appearing in ‘The Good Times’, ‘Lovely A-ran’, and ‘The Lady in Dignity’.

　In 2023, she made a welcome return to the screen after 20 years with ‘My Sweet Honey’.

　Her next project will be TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series ‘Because There Is No Next Life’. The drama follows three 41-year-old female friends, exhausted by repeating the same day over and over again, juggling childcare battles and monotonous work lives, as they stumble and fumble their way towards a better, "perfect life" in this comedic coming-of-age story.
