秋夕特別番組「アイドル陸上大会」、60メートル走で種目スタート…「BADVILLAIN」イナ→「Baby DONT Cry」クミら“ニューフェイス”が総出動
Mid-autumn celebration special ”Idol Athlete Games” kicks off with the 60-meter sprint... New faces like ”BADVILLAIN” member Ina and ”Baby DONT Cry” member Kumi all take part
The "2025 Chuseok (Mid-Autumn Festival) Idol Star Athletics Championships" (commonly known as "ISAC") will air for the first time on the 6th.

The inaugural event raising the curtain on "2025 ISAC" is the "60-metre sprint", a tradition spanning 15 years. Seventy-two idol stars will compete on the track, proving their presence through speed. True to its reputation as a gateway for newcomers, numerous "new faces" possessing astonishing athletic prowess will appear, heightening anticipation.

Joining this athletics event is Kim Guk-yeon, the 400m relay bronze medallist at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and MBC's athletics commentator for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Commentator Kim reportedly marvelled throughout the competition at the idols' unexpectedly high calibre, declaring the "ISAC" commentary more enjoyable than the Olympics.

The women's 60-metre event is expected to see fierce competition for the title of 'track idol'. New faces with diverse personalities and abilities, including BADVILLAIN's Ina, a former artistic gymnast, and Baby DONT Cry's Kumi, formerly a Japanese track athlete, have declared their intentions.

Additionally, Nien from "tripleS", who narrowly missed the gold medal in last year's "Ayukde" 60 metres, and Sui from "Candy Shop", who holds a sub-10-second time, are both making a gold medal challenge, gathering fans' expectations.

The men's 60-metre event promises explosive competitive spirit, making it a standout attraction. Particularly intriguing this year is that all but four competitors are making their debut, sparking considerable curiosity. Among last year's gold and bronze medallists from '&team', TAKI makes a new appearance, challenging to defend the title of 'strongest track and field group'. Meanwhile, last year's silver medallist and former volleyball player 'LUN8's Kaeru, having undergone intense training, has embarked on a renewed challenge for gold, demonstrating strong determination.

Additionally, a host of talented idols are competing, including Hwang Sung-bin of '82MAJOR', boasting three years of Aikido and one year of Kendo experience, and Kyungmin of '8TURN', who reportedly holds a personal best of 5.4 seconds in the 50 metres. This promises an even fiercer race than usual.

Meanwhile, Part 1 of MBC's '2025 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships' will air on Monday the 6th at 5:10pm.
