The Japanese film "The Last Man -FIRST LOVE-", starring Ro Woon, is a cinematic adaptation of the drama ‘The Last Man: The Blind Detective’, which aired on TBS in 2023 and garnered significant attention. The story follows blind FBI agent Hiromi Minami (played by Masaharu Fukuyama) and solitary detective Shintaro Gomichi (played by Yo Oizumi) as they solve difficult cases. The film is scheduled for release in Japan on 24th December this year.
Within the film, Rowan portrays FBI agent Clyde Yun. Planning producer Higashinaka explained the casting rationale “Yun is a character as imposing and strong-willed as Minami. Rowan is an actor who captivates people not only with his acting ability but also with his overwhelming charm and presence. I felt he was the only one who could play this role."
This marks Ro Woon’s debut in Japanese cinema. He shared, "Appearing in a Japanese production was a new challenge for me, but I was looking forward to it as I'd always wanted to act in a different language and cultural sphere. Yun is a confident man brimming with passion for success. I hope viewers will watch closely to see how he evolves throughout this story."
Meanwhile, Ro Woon will hold his fan meeting 'Extraordinary Day' in two sessions at Tokyo Garden Theatre on the 7th of this month, interacting with fans.
