Russia's largest political party effectively ”accepts North Korea's nuclear program” and ”supports measures to strengthen North Korea's defense capabilities”

On the 9th, Russia's largest political party, United Russia, and North Korea's Workers' Party issued a joint statement that effectively condones North Korea's "nuclear possession."

"United Russia expresses its gratitude to the measures being taken by the leadership of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to strengthen the country's defense capabilities," the Secretary General and Ri Hi-yong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said in a joint statement.
Russia, a permanent member of the UN Security Council that should take the lead in preventing nuclear proliferation, expressed its firm support for the North Korean nuclear program.
Until now, South Korea has openly taken a position of condoning North Korea's "nuclear possession" on the international stage. Both sides have also criticized the rising tensions around the world as "illegal interference in the internal affairs of sovereign nations."
He effectively blamed the United States, saying, "This is due to the aggressive politics of the West, which seeks to maintain a dangerous and unconstructive course of action against the United States."
He added, "Forces that destroy peace and stability in Northeast Asia, including the Korean Peninsula,
"We agreed on the common goal of fighting against the revival of anti-Nazi and anti-Nazi ideology, and the neo-colonial practices being perpetrated by the West," he added.
