The financial deficit of the health insurance for Chinese local subscribers, who are the main culprits behind the insurance premium "dine-and-dash" scheme, has been widening every year, recording a deficit of 133.2 billion won (approximately 14.02 billion yen) last year alone.
"This means that an increasing number of Chinese people are accepting the six-month stay requirement and seeking the benefits of South Korean health insurance," he said.
Furthermore, "Korean citizens in China can only join the Chinese government's health insurance if they are not workers.
