Former baseball player Cho Yong-hoon has died after falling from the rooftop of an apartment building.

 According to Bucheon Wonmi Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 17th, an emergency call was received at approximately 6:24pm that day reporting that former national team baseball player Cho Yong-hoon had fallen from the rooftop of an apartment building in Wonmi District, Bucheon City.

 Fire authorities dispatched to the scene confirmed Mr Cho Yong-hoon's death and handed over the body to the police.

 Investigations revealed that he had been conducting a live broadcast on YouTube from the rooftop of this apartment building when he fell, prompting viewers who witnessed the incident to make the emergency call.

 A police official stated, "We do not believe there is any criminal connection," adding, "We are investigating the exact circumstances."

 Meanwhile, Cho Yong-hoon had previously played for professional baseball teams including the Hyundai Unicorns and Nexen Heroes (now Kiwoom Heroes), and had been selected for the national team. He ended his professional baseball career after the 2014 season.
