Home prices in 70 major Chinese cities fell in September from the previous month: Chinese report

The National Bureau of Statistics announced China's housing price fluctuations for September on the 20th. Housing prices in China's 70 major cities fell from the previous month. The year-on-year decline also continued to narrow.
New home prices in first-tier cities fell 0.3% month-on-month, expanding the decline by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. Beijing rose 0.2%, Shanghai rose 0.3%, and Guangdong rose 0.2%.
Prices in first-tier cities fell 1.0%, the same as the previous month. Of these, prices in Beijing fell 0.9%, Shanghai fell 1.0%, and Guangzhou fell 0.
New home prices in second-tier cities fell 0.4%, a 0.1 percentage point increase from the previous month. Second-tier home prices fell 0.7%.
The decline was 0.1 percentage points larger than the previous month. New home prices in "third-tier cities" fell 0.4% year-on-year, the same decline as the previous month. Used home prices fell 0.6% year-on-year, the same decline as the previous month.
On the other hand, when looking at new home prices in each city compared to the same month last year, first-tier cities saw a 0.7% decline, a 0.2 percentage point decrease from the previous month.
"Tier 3 cities" fell 3.4%, a 0.3 percentage point reduction in decline.
In addition, when comparing the prices of used homes in each city with the same month last year, first-tier cities saw a 3.2% increase.
