Kim Sang-yeon of rock band ”TearDrop” dies after battling cancer at age 42

Kim Sang-yeon, bassist for the Korean rock band TearDrop and editor-in-chief of the automotive media outlet Motorgraphy Former, passed away on the 21st at the age of 42.
On the same day, TearDrop announced the news of member Kim Sang-yeon's death through their official SNS account.
"Beloved TearDrop bassist Kim Sang-yeon passed away early this morning at an untimely age," a TearDrop representative said.
"He was a friend who loved bands and music more than anyone else and was full of passion. I cannot help but feel heavy and sad," he said in announcing the death.
According to the family of the deceased, Kim Sang-yeon had been battling cancer during his lifetime.
While undergoing anti-cancer treatment, his condition worsened and he passed away on this day. The funeral was held in Special Room No. 1 at Seoul Red Cross Hospital.
The funeral procession will take place at 10 a.m. on the 23rd, and the burial site will be Seoul Municipal Seunghwawon.
The new alternative metal band "TearDrop" was formed in 2004 and released the EP album "Tear Drop" in 2006.
After the second album, Kim Sang-yeon joined the group and worked as a bassist.
