40 people including BTS, TVXQ, and IU selected as people who made K-POP shine

The Golden Disc Awards will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026 with the selection of 40 people who have had a major impact on Korean pop music over the past 40 years as the Golden Disc Powerhouse 40.
The list, announced by the secretariat on the 23rd, was selected by a committee of 50 music experts, including music producers, composers, critics, and journalists.
The "Powerhouse 40" includes a diverse range of names, including singers such as "BTS" and Jo Yongpil, as well as producers who built the K-POP system, such as Bang Si-hyuk and Lee Soo-man.
