「SEVENTEEN」、世界的キャラクター「スマーフ」とコラボが実現
SEVENTEEN collaborates with globally popular character The Smurfs
A collaboration between two major content franchises has been realised: SEVENTEEN and the globally popular characters The Smurfs.

On the 28th, HYBE Music Group's label PLEDIS Entertainment announced its partnership with Peyo Company, the holder of The Smurfs copyright, to unveil collaborative content featuring SEVENTEEN and The Smurfs.

First, the music video for the Smurfs collaboration version of "God of Music" will be unveiled in November. This video was planned with a focus on the fact that both the Smurfs' birthday and the release date of this song are 23rd October, demonstrating the "value of coexistence" between the two content properties. A teaser released prior to this featured the song's light melody alongside silhouettes of 13 new Smurf characters, heightening curiosity.

The Smurf characters created with the theme of SEVENTEEN are also set to be unveiled soon. The unique characteristics of the Smurfs, loved around the world for their blue skin, small stature, and magical abilities, have been combined with the individual personalities of the 13 members. Products based on the collaboration characters will also be released.

The Smurfs are characters created in 1958 by Belgian artist and storyteller Pierre Culliford, better known as Peyo. They have been produced in a variety of formats, from comic series to animations and films, and are loved worldwide across generations.

PLEDIS Entertainment stated, "This collaboration began from the common ground shared by SEVENTEEN and the Smurfs in pursuing teamwork, friendship, tolerance, fun, and cooperation." They added, "Please look forward to the meeting between SEVENTEEN, who have spread positive emotions and the value of solidarity through their music, and the Smurfs, who symbolise hope and happiness."

Notably, SEVENTEEN has collaborated with popular international characters this year, demonstrating their significant global influence. In Japan, collections featuring individual members as themes were released with Sanrio Characters and BE@RBRICK. In China, the character 'Bonbon Yi', inspired by SEVENTEEN's official penlight, collaborated with the premium plush brand 'TeddyTales' to unveil the 'Bonbon Bear', which has been well received.
