Rear-end collision involving nine cars near Gimpo IC... Traffic jams in the surrounding area = South Korea

At around 3:50 pm on the 7th, a fire broke out after a rear-end collision involving nine vehicles occurred near the Gimpo IC on the Metropolitan Expressway No. 1 in Gochon-eup, Gimpo City.
Fire departments responded to the call with 15 pieces of equipment and 45 personnel, and the fire was completely extinguished 14 minutes later, at around 4:04 pm. No casualties were reported.
However, during the process of restoring the accident site to its original state, one or two of the five lanes in each direction were closed, causing traffic congestion for a while.
A passenger car driven by Mr. A, a man in his 60s, was driving between a traffic jam in one lane and the median strip.
It was confirmed that Mr. A claimed, "I was driving with the vehicle on cruise control, but the brake pedal didn't work properly."
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
