South Korean man dies after being shot by fellow hunter who mistook him for a wild boar

A man in his 70s was killed in an accidental firearm fired by a hunter while working to eradicate wild boars in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province.
On the 8th, Yeosu Police Station issued an indictment without detention to suspect A, a man in his 50s, on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death, and is currently investigating the matter.
At around 11:18 pm on the 7th, suspect A was in the middle of exterminating a wild boar, a designated harmful bird and animal, in a field in Dundeok-dong, Yeosu City, when he shot his colleague B (70s).
Mr. B was shot and seriously injured in the abdomen during the incident that day, and was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Police believe that suspect A mistook his colleague for a wild boar and fired the gun by mistake.
