Charlotte Theater Korea becomes the first major theater in Korea to introduce subtitle glasses... starting with ”Kinky Boots”

Charlotte Theater, South Korea's first musical theater, announced on the 12th that it will be the first major theater in South Korea to introduce subtitle glasses.
Charlotte Theater is the only subtitle provider in Korea that provides voice recognition AI automatic subtitle creation service.
The company has launched a glasses rental service to provide audiences with a customized viewing environment. The introduction of subtitle glasses will be of great help to foreign audiences who are interested in K-musicals, as well as hearing-impaired audiences.
It is expected that this will allow people to enjoy performances without restrictions, further expanding opportunities to enjoy culture. Until now, the subtitle glasses service has only been available at small theaters in Daehangno and some performance halls.
Although it has been tried out on a trial basis in limited areas, this is the first time that it will be used regularly in a large theater for general audiences.
The subtitle glasses unveiled with INC recognize musical lines in real time and project multilingual subtitles onto the lenses of the glasses.
The technology minimizes distraction, allowing audience members to fully concentrate on the flow of the play by simultaneously viewing the stage and subtitles, and multilingual subtitles allow foreign audience members to feel the excitement of the performance in real time.
It will provide a more comfortable and familiar viewing experience for the younger generation, who are accustomed to enjoying content with Hangul subtitles, and is likely to become a new paradigm in performance-viewing culture.
