「&TEAM」、デビュー3年で「紅白歌合戦」初出演確定
”&TEAM” to make first appearance on ”Kohaku Uta Gassen” three years after debut
HYBE's global group "&TEAM" will be appearing on the year-end music program "Kohaku Uta Gassen" for the first time since their debut.
"&TEAM" appeared at the 76th NHK Broadcasting Center in Tokyo on the 14th.
At the press conference for the "Kohaku Uta Gassen," "&TEAM" said, "It's an honor to be able to appear on the "Kohaku Uta Gassen," which was one of our goals," and "Thank you for supporting us for the past three years since our debut."
"Kohaku Uta Gassen" is NHK's representative end-of-year music program, broadcast every year on December 31st, and is the biggest event of the year.
It is a symbolic stage in Japan where artists who are loved by many are invited. It has an unparalleled influence in terms of viewership ratings and being a hot topic, and just appearing on the show is an indicator of how popular they are in Japan.
&TEAM has achieved dazzling results this year. Their third single, "Go in Blind," has shipped over one million copies and been certified as a million-selling album by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
In addition, the song achieved a double crown by taking first place on both the Oricon Chart (dated May 5th)'s "Weekly Combined Single Ranking" and "Weekly Single Ranking," making it the top-selling single of the year.
The points earned at this time were the highest among male artists this year.
"Life" also recorded cumulative sales of 1,222,022 copies in the first week of its release (October 28th to November 3rd), becoming the No. 1 in Japan.
It topped major Korean album charts. "Back to Life" was also certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (as of October) as a Korean album.
As a result, all of &TEAM's physical albums released from their debut album to the present have been included on the Recording Industry Association of Japan's certified list.
"&TEAM", which left Japan in 2022, has been steadily growing every year and has established itself as a global artist.
They have been very active, releasing four albums and appearing on Japanese TV shows over 300 times. Due to these achievements, "&TEAM" was ranked #1 in the top 100 in the Japanese music charts by Oricon in May 2025.
'&TEAM' also showed strong performances throughout their first Asia tour, which ended with encore performances on October 26th and 27th.
They proved their ticket power. All tickets were sold out for their performances in major Asian cities such as Tokyo, Bangkok, Fukuoka, Seoul, Jakarta, Taipei, Hyogo, and Hong Kong, with a total of more than 160,000 spectators joining them.
