China's State Post Administration says parcel volume increased by more than 16% year-on-year in January-October

According to the State Post Administration, China's parcel volume in the first 10 months of this year increased by more than 16% compared to the same period last year, with the growth in parcel volume in the Midwestern region being particularly notable.
According to data released by the bureau, the scale of home delivery operations nationwide increased steadily from January to October, with the volume of operations increasing 16.1% to 162.68 billion items.
By region, the proportion of total parcel delivery volume was 70.9% in the east, 19.7% in the central region, and 9.4% in the west. During the same period, Shaanxi Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region
Delivery volume in many areas, including the U.S., increased by more than 30%. Companies increased infrastructure investment to expand their service areas and strengthened transportation cooperation with airlines and railways.
For example, the Kashgar City Post Office in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has opened nine direct airmail routes from the city to Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, and Beihai.
It covers transportation to cities such as Tokyo and Hangzhou, and its range extends to provinces and cities across the country.
