China's National Energy Administration reports that electricity consumption in October increased 10.4% year-on-year

The National Energy Administration announced China's electricity consumption data for October on the 21st. Overall electricity consumption in October rose 10.4% year-on-year to 857.2 billion kilowatt-hours.
By industry, primary industry increased by 13.2% to 12 billion kWh. Secondary industry increased by 6.2% to 568.8 billion kWh, of which industrial electricity consumption was 1.2 billion kWh.
The tertiary industry increased by 17.1% to 160.9 billion kWh, of which the battery charging and replacement service industry and the information transmission, software and information technology service industry accounted for 1.2 billion kWh.
Electricity consumption showed relatively high growth, with electricity consumption for daily life in urban and rural areas reaching 115.5 billion kilowatt-hours, up 23.9% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, electricity consumption across society from January to October increased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year, totaling 8,624.6 billion kilowatt-hours.
The total electricity generation of industries of this size or larger (annual primary operating revenue of 20 million yen or more (approximately 440 million yen)) was 8.625 trillion kilowatt-hours.
By industry, primary industry increased by 10.5% to 126.2 billion kilowatt-hours, and secondary industry increased by 3.7% to 5.4781 trillion kilowatt-hours.
Electricity consumption for daily life in urban and rural areas from January to October increased 6.9% to 1.3532 trillion kilowatt-hours.
