*This article contains spoilers and synopsis. In episode 1 of JTBC's Saturday and Sunday TV series "Tomorrow Will Be Different" (viewership rating: 2.7%), Park Seo Jun and Won Ji An reunite in romance.
Lee Kyung-do (Park Seo Jun) is suffering from the aftereffects of publishing a scoop article about the affair of the husband of his first love, Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji An).
He never expected to be reminded of someone he thought was completely over after so long, in such a way. He was overcome with complicated emotions.
Ji-woo appears in front of Kyung-do. Just when you think she'll vent her anger, the first thing she says is a surprising expression of gratitude: "Thanks to you, I was able to get divorced."
Ji-woo calmly recounted her shocking marriage and finally added a bombshell statement that could be called cruel. Kyung-do tried to contain his anger.
Unable to contain himself, he blurted out, "I'll see you at the funeral," and got up. Ji-woo's expression instantly hardened, and their reunion took a turn for the worst.
However, contrary to the cruel memories, Kyung-do and Ji-woo have a memory of their first love.
The story depicts the sweet memories of the two, who met at a university club recruitment festival and naturally developed into lovers, and is filled with heart-warming moments.
In particular, for Ji-woo, who was hurt and lonely by the coldness of her mother, Jang Hyun-kyung (Nam Gyu-ae),
Kyung-do was warmth itself. With just one phone call saying "I miss you," he would rush over, hug her, and comfort her, and his presence was the greatest comfort to her.
Interest is building in the story as to how they ended up breaking up. "Tomorrow Will Be Certain" depicts the turbulence of various emotions through this "fateful romance" that is deeply engraved in each other's lives.
The wide range of emotions, from the excitement of first love, the confusion of an unexpected reunion, the resentment and anger over broken promises, and the lingering longing, drew viewers in.
Moreover, the lines that have a lasting impact, unique to writer Yoo Young, and the passionate performances of the actors who perfectly express them, stand out.
The light-hearted dialogue evokes memories of "first love" that lie dormant in everyone's hearts, adding to the sadness. Director Lim Hyun-Woo's beautiful visuals, which delicately depict the textures of the four seasons, also enhance the appeal of the film.
The music, which reflects the times, and the emotional OST further enhance the emotions of the characters, capturing both the ears and the heart.
