In South Korea, comedian Narae Park's former manager expressed concern over the current situation, which appears to be a battle of wits, and emphasized that the purpose is simply to apologize.
Narae Park's former manager, A, told E-Daily on the 12th, "I didn't start this with the intention of exposing her.
" He said that the story of the "injection lady" is just one of 100 controversies, but added, "It doesn't mean that we will make these public. We will not make them public if Narae Park stops lying and apologizes."
Regarding the recording of the meeting on the 7th, in which Narae Park said "the misunderstanding was resolved," he said, "I have no intention of releasing this either." He added, "If he had not lied and apologized, it would not have been released."
The controversy surrounding Narae Park surfaced on the 4th of last month. On that day, Dispatch reported that Narae Park's former managers had filed a request for provisional attachment of real estate with the Seoul Western District Court on the 3rd.
The former managers are reportedly suing for damages suffered during their tenure and are also preparing to file a lawsuit seeking 100 million won in damages.
The former managers claimed to have been forced to buy snacks, clean up after parties, and force them to drink alcohol, among other personal matters.
She said she was subjected to harassment, especially being entrusted with family tasks and treated like a housekeeper. She also said her pay was not settled in a timely manner, and she decided to quit because she could no longer tolerate the managers' tyranny.
Narae Park was accused of violating the Medical Care Act, the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act, and assault. The indictment states that Narae Park is running a one-person entertainment agency (personal agency) and is involved in the development of popular culture and arts.
The former manager followed Narae Park's instructions to make hospital appointments, visit medical institutions to run errands for prescriptions, and receive prescriptions on her behalf.
Narae Park is also accused of receiving illegal medical services such as intravenous injections and prescriptions on her behalf from a person known as the "injection lady."
Narae Park said of the former managers, "After receiving their severance pay, the employees in question demanded an additional 10% of the company's sales for the previous year," and added, "Some of the allegations will be subject to future legal proceedings."
Narae Park has since announced that she will be suspending her broadcasting activities, but the allegations continue.
