Yeong-kyung (Kim Heui Ae), who is successful in her field and manages to take care of her sick parents while educating her son, and Jisoo (Suhyun), who is a model of a cool woman who has strict self-control, each pursue their own beliefs but have their own shortcomings.
One day, they see security camera footage of their children in the act of committing a crime, and the conflict surrounding the incident escalates beyond their control.
And everything that seemed perfect about the four of them falls apart... The Korean movie "Ordinary Family" is based on the novel "Cold Supper" by Dutch author Herman Koch and the Italian movie "The Dinner".
