The film features Jae Wan (Sol Kyung Gu), a lawyer who prioritizes material desires but does not refuse to defend murderers, Jae Gyu (Jang Dong Gun), a pediatrician who values principles, and a freelance translator.
Yeong-kyung (Kim Heui Ae), who is successful in her field and manages to educate her son and look after her parents, and Jisoo (Suhyun), who is a model of a cool woman who has strict self-control, each pursue their own beliefs but have their own shortcomings.
One day, they see security camera footage of their children in the act of committing a crime, and the conflict surrounding the incident escalates beyond their control.
And everything that seemed perfect about the four of them falls apart... The Korean film "Ordinary Family" is based on the novel "Cold Supper" by Dutch author Herman Koch and the Italian film "The Dinner".
The film is based on the novel "The Guardian." Sol Kyung Gu plays Yang Jae-wan, a cold-hearted lawyer. Jang Dong Gun plays Yang Jae-gyu, Jae-wan's brother, a pediatrician who is determined to stick to his beliefs.
Actress Kim Heui Ae plays Jae Gyu's wife, freelance translator Lee Yeong Kyung, while actress Soohyun plays Jae Wan's second wife Jisoo.
Actress Hong Yeji plays Jae Wan's daughter, Hye Yoon.
Actor Kim Jong-cheol plays Jae-gyu's son Si-ho.
