A boy falls from a rooftop and goes into a coma. Everyone thinks it's suicide.
Two people have doubts about this fall. Youngjin (Kim Soo Hyun), a detective from the regional investigation unit who lives above the boy Eun-ho (Ahn Ji-ho), and Sun-woo (Ryu Deok-hoo), Eun-ho's teacher.
The two, who have no social connections, investigate the boy's downfall in their own way. Driven by their sense of guilt and responsibility for the boy, they play a dangerous game for which there is no reward.
Even though Youngjin and Sunwoo cannot become "good adults," they try desperately not to become "bad adults" and stand up to the "bad adults"...
