BTS' JIMIN proved his unrivaled popularity by taking first place in the male individual rankings in the global idol popularity poll in May.
JIMIN received a total of 3,958,510 votes in the May male individual rankings on the K-pop idol voting app "idoki," which closed on May 31.
With three votes, it was ranked first for two consecutive months, following April. "IDOKI" started in Japan and has expanded into a global fan community this year, attracting K-POP fans.
As a special gift for winning, JIMIN will be featured in a large screen advertisement at Cross Shinjuku Vision in Tokyo for 7 days.
In addition, JIMIN was ranked first in "iMoment," a ranking of popular artist photos from last week (May 27th to June 2nd), and has maintained his throne for 11 consecutive weeks, gaining a strong fanbase.
This proves the power of the community. This is the photo of the artist with the most likes among the posts uploaded to the community by artist every Monday to Sunday in a week.
Since his first appearance in the third week of March (March 18th to March 24th), JIMIN has maintained his No. 1 position without missing a single week, demonstrating his overwhelming popularity.
Meanwhile, JIMIN enlisted in the military last December and is currently serving his national defense duties as an artillery battalion under the 5th Infantry Division.
He also set an example during his military service by donating 100 million won (approximately 11 million yen) in scholarships to the Ministry of Education.
