Actor Kim Bum revealed what prompted him to take on the musical challenge. On the SBS Power FM show "Power Time" broadcast on the 17th in Korea, he talked about the musical "Gentleman's Guy".
Kim Bum and Ahn Se-ha, who are currently appearing in "Murder and Love", appeared as guests. On this day, Kim Bum said about what prompted her to try musicals, "It was quite a while ago.
When I was little, my mother took me to see a musical. I was fascinated by it. Before I dreamed of becoming an actor, I had a vague thought, "Will I be able to feel that kind of atmosphere someday?"
"I had a wonderful dream. I was given this opportunity and I thought a lot about it, but my mother's dream was also a big factor, so I decided to take on the challenge," he said.
He continued, "My mother always watches the shows I'm in. But a performance is something different.
I invited my mother to my first performance, and without telling me, she also went to see Ahn Se-ha and Jung Sang-hoon hyungs' performances.
"I said, 'You have to see other people's performances, too,' and he said, 'I've already seen them.'" He said, "Did your mother monitor your first performance?"
When asked, he replied with laughter, "I said very accurately, 'Everyone was good except you.'"
