BTS's V's solo song "FRI(END)S" was chosen as MVP in TOKYO FM's second quarter popularity poll, sparking his global popularity.
TOKYO FM recently revealed that V's "FRI(END)S" was selected as the MVP in the "K-STAR CHART" season popularity poll from April to June.
Since its release on March 15th of this year, "FRI(END)S" has topped the "K-STAR CHART THIS WEEK'S TOP 10" popularity poll for 15 consecutive weeks.
V was chosen as the MVP for his collaboration song "Wherever UR" from January to March, and the two songs continued to top the charts' popularity votes.
"FRI(END)S" reached 4.72 million views on the world's largest music streaming platform "Spotify" on the first day of its release on March 15th.
Recorded 8233 streams and was ranked as the "Daily Top Song
It ranked 7th on the Global chart.
After releasing "FRI(END)S", V ranked 4th on the Global Digital Artist Ranking chart.
"FRI(END)S" recorded the most streams among songs by K-POP solo artists in the first half of 2024, and currently has 200 million streams.
It has surpassed 66.97 million streams, the highest record for a song released by a K-pop solo artist in 2024.
