The government selects areas to be supported based on the extent of disaster damage, etc., and determines the recipients of support through recommendations and investigations by the local governments. The government visits the selected areas four times a year to provide food, medicine, daily necessities, etc.
Im Siwan said, "I decided to donate after hearing the news that those who experienced the disaster are still living in hardship afterwards, in order to give them some strength even though it is not enough."
This is not the first time that Lim Siwan has done a good deed. In 2019, he made a donation to support neighbors affected by the Gangwon Mountain fire, and every year, he helps support victims of typhoons and forest fires.
He has donated 120 million won to date, and has provided support to his neighbors affected by disasters of all sizes, including the Turkey earthquake.
