BTS' JIMIN's "Who" has broken a new record as the best-performing K-POP song in the United States in 2024.
On September 30th (local time), the title song "Who" from JIMIN's second solo album "MUSE" surpassed 1 million unit sales in the US.
This year, it became the first K-pop group to be nominated by the Recording Industry Association of America.
It has been awarded Pretina certification by the RIAA (Released 2014 Edition of the Americas).
This is the fastest K-pop solo artist to ever sell over 1 million records in the US.
This is a pure solo song without any collaboration, and was achieved just 74 days after its release on July 19th, despite Jimin having no activities due to his military enlistment.
JIMIN already became the first Korean song by a K-pop solo singer to sell 1 million units in the U.S. with the title song "Like Crazy" from his first solo album "FACE" last year.
JIMIN is the first K-pop solo artist to have the title track of his solo album receive RIAA platinum certification for two consecutive years.
On the same day, MUSE's record "Be Mine" also sold over 100,000 units in the US, and JIMIN had 15 songs in all of his personal profiles sell over 100,000 units in the US.
It has surpassed 10 million units in sales, proving once again its influence in America.
