Choi Si Won of the group Super Junior will be showing off his unique comedic acting in the film "It's a Fairy Tale, but Not for Teens."
The movie "It's a Fairy Tale, but Not for Young Viewers" is about Danbi (Park Jihyon), who dreams of becoming a fairy tale writer, but in reality is a public servant who is involved in the crackdown on obscene materials.
This is a comedy film about a man who discovers his talent for writing while writing an R19 web novel. Siwon plays the role of Jong-seok and shows off his unique and entertaining comedic acting.
Siwon has been known for his coolness and uniqueness in such works as "She Was Pretty," "Byun Hyuk's Love," "My Lovely Lover," and "Drunken City Girls."
He has been a comedic actor who has demonstrated his talents by freely moving between the masculine and the immoral. In this film, he returns to the big screen as a former ace who is caught up in a slump in his career but is trying to crack down on obscene material.
Jong-seok (played by Siwon) has been working in the Youth Protection Team, also known as the Obscene Materials Control Team, for six years, but he is bored with the strange working environment and his self-esteem as a man is at rock bottom.
Just as she was about to give up her resignation, a new employee named Danbi came in and offered her hopeful words: "If you just endure for three months, you'll be transferred to the team of your choice."
He ends up helping Danbi both materially and emotionally, and the lively and cheerful chemistry between Danbi and Jongsuk is raising expectations from audiences.
Siwon said, "I'm looking forward to meeting people on screen again after a long time, and I also feel a sense of responsibility because of the expectations.
"Bi is the junior who has been waiting for Jongsuk to be in his position. When I explain the rules and how to deal with the situation to my junior as a senior, I acted in a way that made it seem a little faster."
He also said, "This is a comedy film that many people can enjoy casually. The material itself may be provocative, but it is appropriately adjusted, so I think people will like it."
The film "It's a Fairy Tale, but Not for Teens" is scheduled to be released in Korea on January 8, 2025.
