Meanwhile, in response to the Jeju Air passenger plane crash that claimed the lives of 179 people, the South Korean government has designated the seven days until January 4th as a "national mourning period."
In addition, joint incense memorial sites will be set up at the site at Muan International Airport and in 17 cities and provinces across the country, and all ministries, local governments and public institutions will fly mourning flags.
