Actor Lee Dong Wook has made a donation to support the victims of the Jeju Airlines passenger plane accident. An official from Muan County Office said on January 5, "Lee Dong Wook made a donation to support the victims of the Jeju Airlines passenger plane accident on the 4th.
"We have donated 50 million won to the Jeollanam-do Community Chest of Korea to help those affected by the plane crash."
The donations will be used to support the families of the victims who are struggling with the difficulties caused by the accident and for damage recovery and relief efforts.
Lee Dong Wook gave a passionate performance in the movie "Harbin," which was released in Korea on December 24 last year. "Harbin" is set in 1909 and tells the story of people heading to Harbin for one purpose and those who are traveling there.
The film depicts the tense pursuit and suspicions of those who are pursued. It has been well received by many audiences, and on January 5th, the total number of viewers reached 3,498,562 according to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network tallying standards.
Lee Dong Wook will be taking part in the stage greeting for "Harbin" for the first time at the MEGABOX COEX in Gangnam, Seoul on the 6th.
