Actor Seo Kang-Joon revealed why he chose the TV series "Undercover High School" as his comeback project after three years of military discharge.
At the MBCDrama Awards, Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo from "Undercover High School" appeared as presenters for the "TV Series of the Year" award.
"Undercover High School" is a story about a group of high school students who infiltrate the National Intelligence Service to track down the whereabouts of Emperor Gojong's missing gold.
It is a comical TV series depicting the slapstick adventures of the Nth generation of high school students, and is scheduled to air from February this year. In particular, Seo Kang Joon will be making a public appearance in 2022 through "Undercover High School".
This will be Seo Kang Joon's first work since his release of Disney+'s "Grid" in May 2023.
Seo Kang Joon said about the reason why he decided to appear in "Undercover High School", "When I saw the script for the TV series, I thought it would be a drama with various genres such as comics, action, human, and crime.
"I thought it was fascinating because it had a unique feel to it. Also, each MBC TV series has its own unique charm, and it showed me the power that a TV series can have. There was no reason not to choose it."
Jin Ki Joo also said, "I was also attracted to various genres. I will show you a different side of myself than I have shown you before, so I hope you will look forward to it."
Meanwhile, Seo Kang Joon enlisted in the Army on active duty in November 2021 and will be discharged on May 22, 2023.
