Actress Lee Yong Ae to appear in play ”Hedda Gabler”...first stage performance in 32 years

Actress Lee Yong-ae will be performing on stage for the first time in 32 years. According to the LG Arts Center on the 25th, Lee Yong-ae will play Hedda, the main character in the play "Hedda Gabler," which will open in May.
This is Lee Yong's first time performing on stage since 1993. Hedda Gabler is a story about a woman's craving for freedom amidst social restrictions and oppression.
Published by Ibsen in 1890, this play is regarded as one of the world's classic plays. Lee Yong-ae plays Hedda, a powerful tragic icon.
Hedda is a three-dimensional character with an outward appearance of grace but hidden insecurities, desires and a destructive nature.
"Hedda Gabler" features a cast of actors who have demonstrated excellent acting skills in various stages.
Kim Jeong-ho plays Hedda's husband Tesman, who is not interested in anything other than academic success, and Ji Hyun-jun plays Judge Black, who exerts psychological pressure on Hedda, and will be interacting with the audience.
Lee Seung-ju will play Levborg, an old lover who awakens Hedda's dormant desires, and Baek Ji-won will play Thea, Hedda's friend who stimulates her jealousy.
"Hedda Gabler" will run from May 7 to June 8 at the LG Arts Center Seoul-LG SIGNATURE Hall.
