Ailee's "(Me)moir" album, which will be released on March 20th, is a record that features songs by BIGHI, who created many of BTS' hit songs.
The album was produced by T MUSIC's exclusive producer Pdogg, who composed all the tracks including the title track "MMI", "Illusion" and "Meaning".
Ailee participated as an arranger. Starting with her debut song "Heaven," Ailee has worked with Korea's top composers for 13 years, but this time she produced the entire album as a single producer.
This is the first time that the album has been created using the songs of a musician. In particular, Pdogg not only composed and produced the album, but also arranged all the songs and played the keyboards and synthesizers on each song,
Ailee's collaboration with Pdogg on this album is a reflection of her will to change her music and to be a part of the group that has made K-POP a global top-class band.
Ailee has been working on this album for about a year to maximize her vocal and performance strengths.
The management office, A2Z Entertainment, said, "This is an unusual album produced by a single producer.
I worked on the whole album with Producer Pdogg, and it's a work with a higher musical concentration than any of my previous albums," he said. "The process of working with producer Pdogg itself was a time of discovery and growth for me as an artist."
"I hope that this will be an album that will satisfy listeners," he said. "(Me)moir" comes from the word "memoir," which means a memoir in which one personally explains oneself.
The word 'Me', which means 'I', is placed in parentheses to convey the meaning of showing 'artist Ailee' in the life of Lee Yeji as a person.
Meanwhile, Ailee will be releasing content related to her new mini album, including concept pictorials ahead of the release of "(Me)moir" on March 20.
They plan to become more active in the future through music programs and variety shows.
