Korean singer-songwriter Gyubin, who released her first mini-album "Flowering" on February 26th, is the only Korean singer to have collaborated with legendary Japanese singer Akira Nakamori.
Gyubin's management office LIVEWORKS COMPANY announced on the 17th that "Gyubin, a singer under our management, will be participating in the Japanese record label's tribute album for the 43rd anniversary of his debut."
"I will be participating in a tribute album for the genre singer Akina Nakamori," he said.
The album project "Meikyou" includes Mika Nakashima, the singer of the original song "Yuki no Hana," Ado, who is currently enjoying explosive popularity in Japan, and Japan's leading R&B duo "CHEMISTRY."
A total of 13 artists will be participating, including "Y", Japan's leading female vocalist JUJU, and Japanese R&B legend Suzuki Masayuki.
Akina Nakamori, who debuted in 1982, was the first female singer to win the Japan Record Award twice in a row.
Not only that, but she also won the Grand Prix at the 1st Gold Disc Awards and the Grand Prix at the FNS Song Festival two times in a row, making her a legendary singer representing Japan in both name and reality.
Last year, he became the first Korean solo artist to be invited to Japan's representative end-of-year festival, COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25, and was ranked alongside the best artists.
Gyubin, who has been performing in a number of music videos, is set to solidify his status in Japan through his participation in this tribute album to Akina Nakamori. He also received a lot of love from Japan, and released his debut song "Reallllll" last year.
With the reaction to Gyubin being so enthusiastic, including the song "Y Like You" reaching number one on the Billboard Japan "Heatseekers Songs" chart, this year he will be officially releasing his first album in Japan.
Meanwhile, Gyubin, who is currently promoting on music shows with the title song "LIKE U 100" from his first mini album "Flowering," is planning to make his debut in various projects in the future.
We will continue to meet with the public through this platform.
