Minho is currently appearing in the play "Rendezvous," which is about the coincidence of "Taesop," a scientist who is obsessed with rocket development, and "Jihee" (Kim Ha-ri), who tries to find freedom through dance.
This two-person play tells the story of two people who come to terms with their wounds and emotions through a natural encounter, and is attracting attention for its experimental stage direction and the actors' excellent performances.
Minho plays the role of Tae-seop, a calm and rational scientist on the outside, but on the inside he is a complex man who is plagued by past wounds and loneliness.
Minho portrays a convincing character, leaving a strong impression on the audience. In the drama, he plays a character who begins with an exciting first meeting with Jihee, the daughter of a Chinese restaurant where he is a regular customer, and gradually heals each other's wounds.
She plays the process of her growing intimate relationship with him for about 100 minutes without ever leaving the stage, brilliantly portraying the character's intense emotional flux, from joy and anger to anxiety, loneliness and sadness.
In the scene where the actors express their emotional state without any lines, just their gazes, looks, and movements, the actors' detailed and restrained performances create a deep sense of immersion, and the actors' performances are like those of a fashion show.
The unique structure, with a rectangular runway-like stage and a treadmill installed in the center, allows the performers to make eye contact with the audience, breathing deeply into each other, and convey their inner transformation in a more vivid and sincere way.
As if to prove his success, Minho has been receiving enthusiastic responses and selling out all the seats at every performance.
Having received positive reviews for his solid acting in tandem with Seungjae, expectations are high for the diverse activities he will undertake in the future.
The play "Rendezvous" will be shown at the Seoul Arts Center until May 11th (Sun).
You can see it at the Freedom Theatre.
