Actor ONG SUNG WOO will play the lead role of "Will Shakespeare" in the play "Shakespeare in Love," which opens on July 5th.
ONG SUNG WOO's debut play, "Shakespeare in Love," is based on the film of the same name, which won seven Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and four BAFTAs.
The story begins with the delightful idea that Romeo and Juliet was born from Shakespeare's love. Set in 16th century London, the story follows a young Shakespeare who is in a slump.
The story unfolds when Will Shakespeare meets an aristocratic woman, Viola de Lesseps, and begins writing again.
A new writer who has lost his ties and fallen into a slump. He meets Viola by chance at a banquet hall, and is inspired by her to write "Romeo and Juliet."
ONG SUNG WOO has appeared in various genres of works such as TV series "Moments of Eighteen," "Shall We Have Coffee?", "Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon," and the movie "Life is Beautiful."
She has been building her career, especially in last year's Christmas animated film "Nico: Adventures of the Aurora Explorers," where she successfully did her first voiceover work and attracted attention.
