Forbes reports on 20 accomplishments that BTS's V achieved during his military service.

analyst and global pop columnist Jeff Benjamin spoke to Forbes about V's accomplishments during his 18 months in the military.
Forbes reports that once V enlists at the end of 2023, the superstar will not take a moment to rest and will dominate the global stage, releasing singles, photobooks, duets and more.
He continued to be creative and generous during his military service through various activities such as releasing songs and donating to charity.

"It certainly shone brightly," he added. The first of Forbes' top 20 V accomplishments was that V's solo album "Layover" was sold by Japan's Orico Music Entertainment within days of V's enlistment.
It is the highest ranking album by a solo artist released in 2023 on the charts. In addition, the collaboration track with UMI, "Wherever," released on December 30th,
"ever UR" was ranked on the "R&B/Hip Hop Digital Song Sales Chart" and Billboard's "Hot R&B Songs Chart" as V's solo work, and won the "Music Award" at the SEOUL MUSIC AWARDS.
V won two awards: the Best of the Year Award and the Fan Choice Award of the Year. The music video for IU's "Love Wins All," in which V appeared, gained popularity around the world, and V's wide appeal was revealed.

In March 2024, "FRI(END)S," released during his military service, was ranked on the Billboard Hot 100, sweeping domestic and international charts and ranking 13th on the UK Official Chart.
The first thing that happened was that "Layover" won the "Fei Bolt Debut Album" award at the "iHeartRadio Awards" in the US.
He said that one of his achievements was the release of the photo book "TYPE 1" in which he participated in the "Fact Music Awards" for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
He has also won the "Trend of the Year" award in the solo artist category at the "Korea Grand Music Awards", "Fans' Choice Mail Top 10" award at MAMA, and "Music
V was also the only Korean solo artist to be nominated for the "Music Awards Japan." He also collaborated with Bing Crosby and Park Hyo Shin on songs that were released in the military.

Forbes also reported that V donated 200 million won (approximately 20 million yen) to help with the recovery efforts following the wildfires in South Korea.
He added that the letter was a good influence and helped spread the word.
